How Probate Panel works
We read the prices firms are required to publish, put them side by side, and show you where each figure came from.
Every law firm in England and Wales that does probate work for the public has to publish what it charges. Those prices sit on thousands of separate websites, in thousands of different formats, which is why almost nobody compares them.
We find each firm's price page, read the figures off it, record the sentence each figure came from, and date it. The result is one table of the market instead of a thousand pages you would have to visit yourself.
You can then read any firm's page here, see exactly what it publishes, and go to the firm directly. We do not stand between you and the firm, and nothing here is advice about which firm to choose.
