How we verify the firms we list
Every firm is checked against the SRA register, listed with its SRA number, and dropped when it stops being authorised.
Firms are not here because they applied, paid or were selected. They are here because the Solicitors Regulation Authority's own register shows them as authorised, practising and doing probate work, and because they publish a price we can read.
Each firm page shows the SRA number, so the regulator's record is one search away. That is verification you can repeat, rather than a badge we award ourselves.
We list only SRA-authorised firms. The register also holds providers regulated by other bodies, but it does not record their practice areas or their current status, and listing a firm as a probate provider without being able to check either is not a coverage win.
